Bring a pot of salted water to boil. While water heats, grate/ crush garlic. Chop cilantro sprigs and jalapeños into slices for garnish, set aside.
Add spaghetti to boiling salted water.
In a frying pan or sauté pan, heat sesame oil and then add crushed/ grated garlic, black pepper, and cook. After about 3-4 minutes, add the remaining ingredients, sambal, soy sauce and honey.
Once noodles are done, al-dente, drain water, leaving very little. Add pasta and spoon of pasta water to frying/ sauté pan with sauce. Cook for 2 minutes and reduce sauce to desired thickness. Use a spatula to keep bringing the thickened sauce down from the sides and mixing it back into the noodles.
Remove from heat. Plate. And top with chopped jalapeños and cilantro for garnishing. (Optional: green onions)
